Jon graduated from Cornell University and received his master's degree in journalism from Northwestern University. Across a 35-year career, he's worked as a reporter for daily newspapers in Chicago, New York, Ohio & Washington, D.C and as managing editor for weekly newspapers in Rye, White Plains and Harrison.

Jon also writes periodically for the Cornell Chronicle.

Car Flips Closing I-295 Camden County A car overturned closing all lanes of Interstate 295 in Camden County, authorities said. The crash occurred at about 2 p.m. on Monday, April 17 on I-295 northbound South of Exit 30 - Warwick Road in Lawnside, the New Jersey Department of Transportation said. An unconfirmed report said a motorist was trapped in the wreckage. All lanes were closed for an investigation as of 2:30 p.m., nj511.org reported.

Trenton Man, 46, Shot Dead: Prosecutor A 46-year-old man from Trenton was shot and killed over the weekend, authorities said. Daniel Garvin was fatally wounded in the shooting at 8:21 p.m. on Friday, April 14, according to the Mercer County Prosecutor's Office.
