Pleasantville native Jon Craig is special editor for the Westchester, Putnam, Rockland, Orange and Dutchess Daily Voice sites. He is also the primary reporter for Daily Voice Plus Politics in Westchester and Fairfield.

Jon graduated from Cornell University and received his master's degree in journalism from Northwestern University. Across a 35-year career, he's worked as a reporter for daily newspapers in Chicago, New York, Ohio & Washington, D.C and as managing editor for weekly newspapers in Rye, White Plains and Harrison.

Jon also writes periodically for the Cornell Chronicle.

200 South Jersey Walmart Workers Facing Layoffs Walmart is laying off more than 200 workers in South Jersey this spring, according to a state notice. A WARN notice filed with the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development says that as of June 2, Walmart is eliminating 201 jobs at its Pedricktown distribution center in Salem County. The big box company will lay off hundreds more workers in California, Florida, Pennsylvania and Texas, according to Reuters. Dump Truck Flips On NJ Turnpike A dump truck overturned and went off the New Jersey Turnpike, authorities said. The crash occurred at about 3 p.m. Monday, March 27 on the outer roadway southbound South of Interchange A (Route 32) in Monroe Township, according to the New Jersey Department of Transportation.
