16 Indicted In Crime Ring Targeting Asian-American Jewelers Across Mid-Atlantic: Feds An indictment of 16 members of a violent mid-Atlantic crime ring has been unsealed and the federal agencies are naming names. Of the 16, eight of the alleged crime ring members were arrested in the morning on Wednesday, Aug. 30, 2023, police in Fairfax County, Virginia announced later that day. PA Caregiver Accused Of Raping Mentally Disabled Found After Year A year after a $1,000 reward was offered for information leading to the capture of a man who is accused of raping a person with mental disabilities, David Vazquez has been arrested. The 67-year-old Lancaster City man was taken into custody in Scranton by Pennsylvania State Police. Lancaster County Crime Stoppers had been offering the reward "for information leading the arrest and/or conviction" of Vazquez. “David Vazquez is aware of the criminal charges and has been intentionally avoiding law enforcement,” Crime Stoppers said in a statement. Legionnaires' Outbreak Probe Continues In Lancaster: County Officials A bacteria that can cause the deadly lung disease – commonly known as Legionnaires' – has been found six more times since officials learned of an infected inmate in Pennsylvania. Appaloosa Horse Hit By Stray Bullet, PA State Police Say A house and a beloved horse were hit by a stray bullet hit a horse on Sunday, the Pennsylvania State Police announced on Tuesday, Aug. 29. Troopers were initially called to investigation damage from "an errant bullet" to a home on Shrivers Corner Road in Butler Township, Gettysburg around 2:30 p.m. on Sunday.
