Police Probe Beating Death Of Elderly Philadelphia Man Homicide detectives in Philadelphia are asking for the public's help to solve the 2022 murder of an elderly man.  Eric Holmes, 76, was near the corner of East Sharpnack and Ross Streets at about 2 p.m. on Oct 17. when an unknown assailant beat him up, Philadelphia police say.
