Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

The incident happened Saturday, July 4 at 9:15 p.m.in Central Islip. Brandon James, 29, of Brookhaven, suffered the hand injury while lighting a firework at a home located on Tamarack Street, Suffolk County Police said. He was airlifted to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment of his injuries.

21-Year-Old Killed In Two-Vehicle Crash Near Long Island Gas Station A 21-year-old was killed in a two-vehicle collision near a Long Island gas station. The crash happened on Sunday, July 5 at around 11:45 a.m. in Great Neck. The victim was operating a motorcycle southbound on Cuttermill Road when he got into the collision with a 2004 Infinity, which was exiting the BP gas station, Nassau County Police said.  The Infinity, driven by a 66-year-old man, remained at the scene.  The victim was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead as a result of his injuries.
