Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Man Assaults, Injures Officer Responding To Disturbance At Long Island Residence, Police Say A Long Island man assaulted and injured an officer responding to a report of a disturbance at a Long Island residence, police say. It happened on Thursday, March 5 at around 12:45 a.m. in Hicksville. Nassau County Police were called to a residence on Emmet Place for a disturbance. Woman Killed In Two-Vehicle Crash Near Area School A woman was killed in a two-vehicle collision near a school in the area. It happened on Wednesday, March 4 at about 4:30 p.m. in Orange County. The victim is identified as Eleanor Bortone, 82, of the Town of Newburgh., police said. Man, Woman Found Shot Dead At Long Island Home A man and woman were found shot dead overnight at their Long Island home, police say. It happened around 11:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 4 in Hampton Bays. Southampton Town Police say the department received a call from a distraught female stating there was a gunshot at 49 Ponquogue Ave. Officers were dispatched to the location and found two subjects, one male and one female, suffering from gunshot wounds. ID Released For Woman Killed After Being Struck By Two Vehicles On Long Island Roadway A woman was killed after being struck by two vehicles on a busy Long Island roadway has been identified. The incident happened on Tuesday, March 3 at about 7:20 p.m. in Massapequa.
