Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Woman Crossing Busy Long Island Intersection Struck, Killed By Car A woman crossing a busy Long Island intersection was struck and killed by a car. It happened on Sunday, Feb. 9 at 8:05 p.m. in Manhasset. While attempting to cross Plandome Road, from the east side to the west side, a woman was struck by a 2018 Toyota traveling northbound in the vicinity of Park Avenue. The 79-year-old woman suffered multiple injuries and was transported to an area hospital where she was pronounced dead at 11:52 pm by a hospital physician. The female operator, 79, remained at the scene. The vehicle was brake and safety checked. The investigation is ongoing.

Alert Issued For Missing Long Island Woman A 65-year-old Long Island woman has gone missing and authorities are asking the public's help in locating her. Angela Myers, of Garden City, was last in contact with relatives from an unknown location on Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2020. She was reported missing on Sunday, Feb. 9, Nassau County Police said.  She is described as being white, 5-foot-4, 160 pounds with brown hair and green eyes. Her clothing description is unknown.
