Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Long Island Teen Killed After BMW Crashes Off Roadway, Into Tree A Long Island teen was killed after the BMW he was driving crashed off the roadway and into a tree overnight, police said. It happened on Monday, Dec.23 at approximately 10 p.m. in Rocky Point. Robert Permenter, 18, of Patchogue, was driving the 1995 BMW sedan eastbound on North Country Road, approaching the intersection of Route 25A, when the vehicle veered off the roadway and struck a tree, Suffolk County Police said. LIU Quarterback One Of Two Men Fatally Stabbed During Fight Outside Bar Clay Beathard, the starting quarterback on the Long Island University football team, brother of an NFL player and grandson of a former NFL general manager, was one of two men killed outside a bar in Nashville, Tennessee. ID Released For Bicyclist Killed After Being Struck By SUV On Long Island The identity of the bicyclist who was killed after being hit by a compact SUV on Long Island has been identified. It happened at 6:50 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 20 in Huntington Station. The victim, now identified as Sean Siegel, 32, of Huntington Station, was struck by a 2015 Nissan Rogue traveling southbound on Route 110 at the intersection of Jericho Turnpike, Suffolk County Police said. Five Charged At Sobriety Checkpoint Overnight On Long Island Five Long Island residents were charged during an overnight sobriety checkpoint. The checkpoint in Patchogue at Waverly Plaza, located at 361 North Sunrise Highway Service Road, late Friday night, Dec. 20 into early Saturday morning, Dec. 21.
