Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Duo Nabbed, Another Suspect At Large, After Man Is Robbed Following Two-Vehicle LI Crash Two suspects were apprehended and another remains at large after a robbery occurred following a two-vehicle crash on Long Island, according to police. It happened around 5:40 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 7 in Valley Stream, Nassau County Police said. Man Shot In Chest On Busy Bridgeport Street A man was shot in the chest in a late morning incident on a busy street in Bridgeport. It happened around 10:15 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 8 near the 500 block of Arctic St., Bridgeport Police said. The man, who was shot at least once, was transported to Bridgeport Hospital, where his condition is unknown as of early Sunday afternoon. The Detective Bureau is investigating. Popular Wfsb-tv Anchor Denise D'Ascenzo Dies Suddenly Denise D'Ascenzo, the longtime and award-winning news anchor for CBS-TV affiliate WFSB in Connecticut, died suddenly at her home Saturday night, Dec. 7. She was 61. The cause of her death has not been released. "The grief we are all feeling is immeasurable," WFSB said in a statement posted on its website. "We are devastated for her husband and daughter who were her whole life. There are no words that could begin to summarize this loss for our WFSB family." Long Island HS Security Guard Sexually Assaulted Student, Police Say A 22-year-old Long man who was employed as a security guard at a Long Island high school has been accused of sexually assaulting a student. According to Nassau County Police detectives, Daniel Valenzuela, of Elmont, sexually assaulted the 15-year-old female while employed as a security guard at Seawanhaka High School in Floral Park. Man Killed When Vehicle Crashes Into Parked Car, Tree On Property Of Home In Fairfield A man was killed when his vehicle crashed into a parked car and then a tree overnight on the property of a home in Fairfield County. It happened on Saturday, Dec. 7 at about 1:42 a.m., on Black Rock Turnpike near Finn Street in Fairfield, according to Fairfield Police.
