Man Charged With Assault, Terroristic Threats: Slate Belt Police A 30-year-old man was charged with assault and terroristic threats following an incident in the Slate Belt area, local police said. Officers responding to a home in Plainfield Township found the victim with signs of assault around 2:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 9, Slate Belt Regional Police said. A follow-up investigation found that the victim had gotten into an argument with Tyler Keith Gold that turned physical before he fled the scene, police said. The animal was found near Willow Avenue in Bloomsbury and tested positive for rabies on Wednesday, June 8, according to the Hunterdon County Dept. of Health. Sussex County Woman Flown To Trauma Center After Being Kicked In Head By Horse: Police A Sussex County woman was airlifted to a nearby trauma center after being kicked in the head by a horse, authorities said. Judith Hempel, 40, was attempting to control a male horse who had become aggressive while trying to get into the stall of a female horse around 12 p.m. on Friday, June 10, Sparta Police Lt. John Lamon told DailyVoice.com. Hempel was then kicked in the back of the head by the male horse, Lamon said. Trapped Victim Rescued Following Hunterdon County Crash (Photos) A trapped victim had to be extricated by emergency crews and three others suffered minor injuries following a crash in Hunterdon County, authorities said. The Lebanon Township Fire Department responded to the crash in Califon just after 10:45 a.m. on Wednesday, June 8, the squad said. Morris County Fall Victim, 60, Flown To Hospital: Developing A 60-year-old man was airlifted to a nearby hospital after suffering a fall in Morris County, developing reports say. The man fell near E. Springtown Road in Washington Township shortly before 10:45 a.m. on Friday, June 10, according to initial and unconfirmed reports. A medical helicopter was called to land at the nearby ball field to take the man to a hospital for treatment.
