Support is on the rise for the heartbroken family of a beloved Hopatcong mom who was struck and killed by a car in Bridgewater.
Kelsey Benson was walking on State Highway 28 when she was struck by a Lexus driven by a 59-year-old Bridgewater man around 12:45 a.m. Sunday, June 5, DailyVoice.com reported.
She succumbed to her injuries at the scene.

Loving friend, son, and devoted uncle Daniel Robert Sargent Frederick died unexpectedly at his childhood home in Lake Hopatcong on Saturday, May 21. He was 31.
A Lake Hopatcong native, Daniel attended Jefferson Township High School and worked as a driver at the Sunrise House Treatment Center in Lafayette, his social media page says.
Daniel had several passions in life, including music, fishing, hiking, and other outdoor activities, according to his obituary.

A New Jersey man died while attempting to climb North America’s highest mountain, authorities said.
Fernando Birman, 48, was near the summit of Denali in Talkeetna, Alaska when he collapsed at 19,700 feet on the evening of Friday, June 3, according to the National Park Service.
Birman, of Stockton, was pronounced dead at the scene despite mountain guides’ attempts to revive him with CPR.
