Seen him? Police have issued an alert for a missing 37-year-old Trenton man. Mario Banegas was last seen near Chambers Street in Trenton on Sunday, May 1, local police said Tuesday. He was reported missing by his wife, Vanessa Martinez-Ortiz, according to police. Anyone with information on Banegas’s whereabouts is urged to contact the Trenton Police tip line at 609-989-4000.

A dog trapped in a Lehigh Valley house fire was rescued and revived with Oxygen, authorities said. The Palmer Municipal Fire Department responded to the blaze on Swanson Street and found the dog in the back of the home on Saturday, April 30, the company said. Firefighters worked alongside Suburban Medics to bring the unresponsive dog outside and put her on Oxygen using a mask designed for animal use. A teen who ran into a Morris County roadway was struck by a minivan, authorities said. The teen — whose identity was not released — was standing on the southbound side of Speedwell Avenue near Glenbrook Road when he ran into the roadway without using a crosswalk and was struck by a northbound Honda Odyssey around 9 p.m. on Saturday, April 30, Morris Plains Police Chief Michael Koroski said in a Monday release. Trapped Driver Rescued, Hospitalized In Morris County Rollover Crash (

A trapped driver had to be rescued and taken to a nearby hospital following a rollover crash in Morris County, authorities said. The Dover Fire Department responded to the crash scene and found the driver trapped in a car that had flipped onto its side on Route 46 on Wednesday, April 27, the company said in a Monday release. Emergency crews used cribbing and struts to safely extricate the driver, who was then turned over to an ambulance to be taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. NJ Police Lt. Mark Horan Takes His Own Life After 24 Years On Force
A police lieutenant who took his own life over the weekend in his New Jersey home is being remembered as a devoted dad and exemplary officer. Hamilton Police Lt. Mark Horan died Saturday, April 30 in his home. He was found with a self-inflicted gunshot wound, NJ Advance Media reports. Horan joined Hamilton's force in 1998 and assigned to the patrol division. He moved to the anti-crime unit in 2009, and a year later, was promoted to sergeant. In 2017, he was promoted again to lieutenant, serving in the anti-crime, patrol and administration divisions. A 14-year-old has been charged in the deadly March shooting of a Trenton teen, authorities announced. The male suspect — whose name was not released — was charged with reckless manslaughter and providing false information to law enforcement, both second-degree offenses, Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo J.
