Support is on the rise for the heartbroken family of beloved Jersey Shore native and former marine Nicholas J. Delong, Jr., who died suddenly on Monday, Feb. 7 at the age of 29.
Born in Philadelphia, Delong grew up in Cape May County, where he lived at the time of his death, his obituary says.
Delong graduated from Wildwood High School in 2010 before serving in the Marines for two years and beginning work as an auto body repair technician, according to his memorial.

Beloved Jersey Shore mother of six Catherine ‘Ren’ Olivia Freeman died on Saturday, Feb. 12 after a “long and hard” COVID-19 battle. She was 35.
Freeman grew up in Brick Township, went to Brookdale Community College, and later moved to Tinton Falls, where she lived at the time of her death, according to her social media page.
Freeman was remembered as an incredible and creative soul who loved deeply and touched many lives.

Guilty: Sussex County T-Mobile Worker Stole More Than $11K In Electronics, Prosecutor Says
A former Sussex County T-Mobile store worker admitted in court Tuesday to stealing more than $11,000 in devices, authorities said.
Tre M. Jenkins, of Stanhope, pleaded guilty to theft at the Sussex County Virtual Courtroom in Newton, Prosecutor Francis A. Koch said.
Jenkins stole numerous iPhones, Air Pods, Samsung Galaxy phones, and Apple watches totaling more than $11,000 while working at Woodbury Wireless in Newton, Koch said.
The store has since closed its doors permanently, according to its business and Google Maps pages.
Jenkins is scheduled to be sentenced on Friday, April 8.
Man Stabbed To Death In Trenton, Prosecutor Says
A man was stabbed to death in Trenton Wednesday night, authorities confirmed.
Responding officers found Leonardo Fernandez, 32, with several stab wounds to the torso on the 500 block of Whittaker Avenue shortly after 5 p.m., Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo J. Onofri said Thursday.
Fernandez, of Trenton, was rushed to Capital Health Regional Medical Center and pronounced dead, Onofri said.
