Woman Floods Warren County Hotel, Causing Longterm Shutdown, Police Say A woman was charged after she allegedly caused a Warren County hotel to flood, forcing the business to close for nearly two months and counting. Police and fire crews responding to the Quality Inn in Hackettstown found heavy flooding from the activated sprinkler system shortly before 2:55 a.m. on Sept. 7, Mansfield Township police said in a Wednesday release. Wayne Resident Injects Anticonvulsant Drug Gabapentin Into Victim’s Food, Police Say A Wayne resident was charged after allegedly injecting anticonvulsant drug Gabapentin into a victim’s food in Hackettstown. The Hackettstown victim told police that they had been feeling mysteriously ill just before 9:30 a.m. on March 29, authorities said in a Wednesday release. A follow-up investigation determined that Sujata Prasad, 46, used a syringe to inject Gabapentin into the victim’s food, police said. ID Released For Woman Killed In Sussex County House Fire: Report Authorities have released the identity of the 71-year-old woman killed in a house fire in Sussex County Sunday morning. The blaze broke out at a home on Lone Pine Trail in Hampton Township just after 6:10 a.m., NJ.com reports. Eileen O’Rourke was found dead in the home as officers from Hampton Township, Stillwater, Frankford, Green, Fredon and Andover responded, the report says. Jackknifed Tractor-Trailer Backs Up Route 80 In Morris County A jackknifed tractor-trailer shut down Route 80 westbound Tuesday morning, authorities said. The tractor-trailer collided with a tanker truck and jackknifed at milepost 41 in Parsippany around 9:50 a.m., NJSP Alejandro Goez told Daily Voice. Four of five right lanes were closed for cleanup following the crash, Goez said. Major delays were reported. No serious injuries occurred in the crash, which remained under investigation.
