An (almost) lifelong Westchester resident, Sam has reported on all facets of Westchester since he graduated from Ryerson University with a degree in print journalism, including stints at North County News and The Examiner. A film columnist for WAG Magazine, Sam's moviegoing expertise has been profiled in the New York Times and he was a featured guest on VH1's Big Morning Buzz Live.

Pleasant Valley Native Drafted By Atlanta Braves  Drew Lugbauer is ready to chop. The Pleasant Valley native, who graduated Arlington High School, was drafted by the Atlanta Braves in the 11th round of the Major League Baseball draft June 14. While at the University of Michigan, Lugbauer led the Wolverines with 11 home runs, 58 RBIs, total bases and had an OPS of .917, earning first-team All-Big Ten honors in his junior season. A new Marist College poll has Cuomo, a New Castle resident, beating his potential 2018 Republican opponents, including Donald Trump, Jr. and Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino by a two-to-one margin. Cuomo leads Trump, Jr. 62 percent to 27 percent. Trump, Jr. ruled out running for governor in April. Cuomo leads Astorino 58 percent to 26 percent. Two Teens Charged After Causing Injury During Fight, Yorktown Police Say A 17-year-old Mount Kisco teen and a 15-year-old Yorktown teen were charged with juvenile delinquency after a physical altercation at Dell Avenue off Route 100 on May 22, Yorktown Police announced Thursday. The 17-year-old was charged with assault in the third degree and the 15-year-old was charged with juvenile delinquency because he is a minor.
