Pleasantville Man Killed In Taconic Parkway Crash In Yorktown ID'd YORKTOWN, N.Y. -- Police have identified the man killed in a single-car accident on the Taconic Parkway in Yorktown Thursday. Anthony Giorgio, a 71-year-old Pleasantville resident, was killed at approximately 12:30 p.m. when he drove off an embankment on the parkway into the woods and struck a guide rail near southbound exit 13. (Underhill Avenue/Croton-on-Hudson/Yorktown Heights) Giorgio was pronounced dead at the scene. Giorgio was the only occupant of the vehicle and the accident continues to be investigated, according to Trooper Melissa McMorris of the New York State Police.

Former Putnam Valley Football Player Killed In Yorktown Motorcycle Crash YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. -- Erik Godinho, a 20-year-old who played football for Putnam Valley High School, was killed in a motorcycle crash Sunday in Yorktown Heights. Godinho collided with another car Sunday afternoon at the intersection of Route 132 and Barberry Road in Yorktown, Lt. Tom Gentner said. The two-car accident remains under investigation, Gentner said. No one else was injured in the accident, Gentner said. Carlucci Puts Focus On New Gift Card Law In Palisades Mall Visit Shoppers at the Palisades Mall in West Nyack found out their holiday gift cards won't come with as many strings attached. State Sen. Two Injured In Chestnut Ridge Road Crash CHESTNUT RIDGE, N.Y. -- Two men were taken to the hospital with injuries following a two-car accident Friday morning in Chestnut Ridge. A vehicle driving south on Chestnut Ridge Road just south of Alpine Court crossed into the northbound lane to pass other cars and headed straight for another car, according to Ramapo Police.
