Equal parts Lois Lane, J. Jonah Jameson and Vicki Vale, Zak! has traveled from coast-to-coast covering small and big town community news in both in print and online for nearly a decade since his graduation from the award-winning Roy H. Park School of Communications at Ithaca College in 2010.

Before settling into the Hudson Valley, Zak! previously spent time in the New York Daily News newsroom and worked for hyperlocal digital news outlets on Long Island. He wrote sports for The Ithacan and The Ithaca Journal before taking his talents to the Pacific Northwest, where he served as the sports editor at the Shoshone News-Press until heading back east to work with Daily Voice.

Convicted Sex Offender From Region Admits To Child Pornography Offenses A convicted sex offender from Western Massachusetts could spend decades in prison after admitting to inducing a minor through social media to engage in sexually explicit conduct, federal officials announced. Franklin County resident Charles Fox, age 46, of Greenfield, pleaded guilty in federal court in Springfield to receipt of child pornography after targeting a minor in the Philippines through Facebook messenger. Mail Thief At Large In Northern Westchester After Stealing Checks, Police Say A mail thief is at large in Northern Westchester after being caught red-handed by an area homeowner stealing mail from his mailbox in the middle of the day, police announced. In North Castle, shortly before noon on Friday, Nov. 12, a caller reported that he saw a Black man in his 20s on Mianus River Road, get out of a gray Mercedes and steal several envelopes containing checks from his mailbox. Covid-19: Seven Doctors Test Positive Within Days After Attending Anti-Vaccine Summit Seven vociferous doctors who have vocal about their stances during the pandemic each contracted COVID-19 days after attending an anti-vaccine event in Florida.
