Before settling into the Hudson Valley, Zak! previously spent time in the New York Daily News newsroom and worked for hyperlocal digital news outlets on Long Island. He wrote sports for The Ithacan and The Ithaca Journal before taking his talents to the Pacific Northwest, where he served as the sports editor at the Shoshone News-Press until heading back east to work with Daily Voice.

Murderer Admits To Brutally Butchering Beloved 'Community Matriarch' In Baltimore Church Manzie Smith, Jr. could spend the rest of his life in prison after admitting to the grisly murder of a beloved member and volunteer of an East Baltimore church in November 2021. Dead Whale Washes Up On Assateague Island National Seashore Beach-goers at the Assateague Island National Seashore made a whale of a discovery on Monday morning off the coast of Maryland.
