Man Seriously Injured After Being Hit By SUV At Westchester County Airport WHITE PLAINS, N.Y -- A man in his 50s was seriously injured after being hit by a SUV at Westchester County Airport on Thursday afternoon. The man was working at Skytop Caterers on Airport Road, which is in building one of the airport. Someone was backing a Lincoln Navigator SUV against the building, according to Kieran O'Leary, public information officer for the Westchester County Police Department, which is investigating the incident. Man Found Dead In FDR Park In Yorktown YORKTOWN, N.Y. -- A 55-year-old man from Long Island was found dead Thursday morning in FDR Park in Yorktown. New York State Parks Police located the Amityville man after his parents reported him missing, according to Randy Simmons, the public information officer for the NYS Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation. Hickory And Tweed Owner Named Citizen Of The Year In Armonk ARMONK, N.Y. -- Skip Beitzel's Hickory & Tweed has become an institution in the Town of North Castle. Beitzel, a Mount Kisco resident who grew up in Chappaqua, was recently honored by the Armonk Chamber of Commerce as its Citizen of the Year. Missing North Salem Wallaby Last Seen Wandering Outside Indian Restaurant NORTH SALEM, N.Y. -- The Saks family has not given up hope that their missing pet wallaby, Indy, will be found. Susan Saks said the wallaby was last seen outside of Jaipore Indian Restaurant on Route 22 in Brewster a month ago. "It's hard," Saks said. "We've been over to that restaurant so many many times. Cortlandt Honors Veterans At Veterans Day Ceremony CORTLANDT, N.Y. -- The Town of Cortlandt came together to say thank you to its veterans on Veterans Day. The town held its annual Veterans Day ceremony Tuesday at the Muriel H. Morabito Community Center. In October, the town unveiled its Purple Heart memorial outside of town hall. Local Teams Flock To Hen Hud For Cheerleading Meet CORTLANDT, N.Y. -- The Hendrick Hudson varsity cheerleading team got to show off its talents on Saturday as it hosted its first cheerleading meet in seven years. More than 20 schools from Westchester, Putnam and Rockland County, including Panas, Yorktown, Mahopac and Eastchester showed up at Hendrick Hudson High School to participate in the cheerleading sectionals. Haldane Fans Cheer On Their Team At Section 1 Football Final In Mahopac MAHOPAC, N.Y. -- It was a raucous crowd in Mahopac at the Class D Finals as Haldane supporters and Tuckahoe supporters made their voices heard.
