Johnson was voted in by the Democratic majority of the Peekskill Common Council at the city's annual reorganization meeting. Yorktown Fire Department Extinguishes Gomer Street Blaze YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. -- The Yorktown Heights Fire Department extinguished a basement fire at 3350 Gomer Street this morning. Second Assistant Chief Paul Dillon said firefighters responded to the home at 7:15 a.m. when it heard a report of smoke coming the wall.
