I-81 Crash Delays Traffic For Miles A crash on the northbound side of I-81 delayed traffic for nearly three miles Tuesday, May 7 in Rockingham County. It happened near milepost 254.4 closing the north left shoulder and the left lane as of 5 p.m. Traffic cameras show emergency response crews at the scene.

Disoriented Resident Rescued, 3 Hurt In Loudoun County House Fire: Officials Firefighters rescued one civilian and three people were injured in a Loudoun County fire last week. At 8:21 p.m., Friday, May 3, fire and rescue units responded to a house fire in the 45000 block of Old Ox Road in Sterling where flames were shooting out of the home, and one person was still inside, officials said. Firefighters made entry, quickly extinguishing the fire, and rescued one occupant who had become disoriented and overcome by smoke. Student, 16, Brings Metal Knuckles To Northern VA School: Cops A 16-year-old boy from Woodbridge was caught with metal knuckles on school grounds Monday, May 6, police said. A school resource officer found the Freedom High School student in possession of the knuckles while investigating a tip, county police said. Police said that "the knuckles were not part of any threat to other students, faculty, or staff."
