The death of a facilities director popular among both staff and students of a Montgomery County school has died unexpectedly, prompting an outpouring of support. Richard J. Borowiec, affectionately known simply as "Mr. Rich," died on April 7, 2024. He was two days shy of celebrating his 47th birthday, his obituary shows. Rich had been employed as the facilities director of the St. Genevieve School and Parish in Flourtown for the last 22 years. Country Club Death: Tree Falls Onto Golf Cart In Pennsylvania Killing Passenger, Cops Say
A falling tree killed one person riding in a golf cart at a Pennsylvania country club this weekend, authorities said. It happened Saturday, April 13 around 3:05 p.m. at the JC Melrose Country Club in Cheltenham, where a tree fell on a golf cart, killing the person in the passenger's seat of the cart, local police said. The tree fell on the golf cart as the victim and another person were driving the golf cart on the course while playing golf, police said. The driver of the golf cart sustained minor injuries. 1-Year-Old Boy Stabbed Outside Philadelphia Synagogue: What We Know
A 1-year-old baby was stabbed outside of a synagogue in Philadelphia Saturday, April 13, police said. According to Philadelphia police, the boy was stabbed in the left forearm outside of 300 South 18th Street just after 12 p.m. In a statement to 6abc, Temple Beth Zion-Beth Israel (BZBI) synagogue said the incident was not an anti-Semitic attack. The baby was taken to the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia by PFD-Medic Unit and is in stable condition. No weapon was found, no arrests were made, and there was no scene.

A 43-year-old man has been charged with murder in a triple Trenton shooting that left a 46-year-old father dead and two others wounded, authorities announced.
