Peekskill Teen Drove Drunk On Route 6, Police Say A 19-year-old man was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated on Route 6 and East Main Street Sunday. Hector Torres, 19,  of Peekskill was charged with driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor, and aggravated driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol content of .18 percent or more, a misdemeanor.  Police observed a vehicle being operated without headlamps and with a flat tire. The county's 2016 audited financial report shows the county has a year-end surplus of $10 million in its general fund. Mount Kisco Naming Library After Former Mayor Residents in Mount Kisco will soon be checking out books from the Henry V. Kensing Memorial Library.The village board unanimously approved naming the library after Kensing, who served as village trustee from 1963 to 1967, mayor from 1967 to 1981 and village justice from 1990-2005. Kensing died in 2016 at the age of 83. Rose Timourian, 104, Former Yorktown Resident YORKTOWN, N.Y. -- Rose Timourian, a longtime Yorktown resident, passed away Saturday at the age of 104. Timourian was the daughter of the late Hripsime and Nerses Karagozian and grew up in New York City.
