Religious Procession Could Cause Delays In Ossining OSSINING, N.Y. -- In honor of Good Friday, a religious procession will be taking place in Ossining at 6 p.m. Ossining Police said the event usually draws large crowds and motorists can expect some minor traffic delays on South Highland Avenue and other affected roadways. Police said they are not expecting any significant road closures.

Firefighters Respond To Gas Leak In Croton CROTON-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. -- The Croton-on-Hudson Fire Department was on the scene Friday just before 1 p.m. after a gas leak was reported near Old Post Road North and Terrace Place. Con Edison called the firefighters to assist with checking with houses to ensure no gas migrated into their basements, the fire department said. Twenty firefighters responded to the scene and were there for 45 minutes, the fire department said. Con Edison remains in the area working on the leak, the fire department said.

He was 87.  Faggella worked as a teacher for the Pleasantville Union Free School District. After retiring in 1985, he founded Centurion Home Inspection in Yorktown Heights.  Faggella was born in 1930 in the Bronx to Vincent and Marie Faggella. He graduated from the Bronx High School of Science in 1948, then went on to earn his Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Technology and his Masters in Education, both from New York University. Man Violates Order Of Protection In Yorktown YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. -- A Mahopac man was arrested Thursday after Yorktown Police say he violated an order of protection. Stephen Swett, 40, was charged with criminal contempt in the second degree, a Class A misdemeanor.  Swett violated a Westchester County Family Court Temporary Order of Protection by speaking to the protected party, police said. After a police investigation, Swett turned himself in. He was released on his own recognizance and is due back in Yorktown Justice Court on May 11.

Jerome Perry, a Far Rockaway resident, was arrested and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, a Class A misdemeanor, possession of a hypodermic needle, a Class A misdemeanor, driving with a suspended registration and driving with a broken tail light.
