Car Plunges Into Croton Swimming Pool CROTON-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. -- A car in Croton was not ready to say goodbye to summer. On Monday night, an unoccupied vehicle wound up in a swimming pool at a home on Mount Airy Road West after the driver failed to put it in the correct gear, police said.  There were no injuries to anyone, including the car, according to the Croton Fire Department. The pool will likely be usable next season, the fire department said.

SUV, Truck Burst Into Flames Outside Ossining Home OSSINING, N.Y. -- Two cars caught on fire Friday morning in front of a home in Ossining as a result of a faulty electrical cord.  At 4:15 a.m., the Ossining Fire Department received a call about flames shooting out of a Ford pickup truck on 57 Hunter St. The fire then spread to an SUV parked in front of the truck, according to Matthew Scarduzio, Ossining Fire Chief.
