Dutchess Deputy Sheriff Fired Following Arrest By Feds DUTCHESS COUNTY, N.Y. -- Rosario Scavelli, a part-time Dutchess County Deputy Sheriff, has been terminated from his position by the county following an arrest by federal agents. John Watterson of the Dutchess County Sheriff's Office confirmed Scavelli's arrest but referred all details to the Department of Homeland Security. After being reached by Daily Voice late early Monday afternoon, the Department of Homeland Society said it would not be able to immediately release information on Scavelli's arrest. Westchester Land Trust Expands Staff, Board Of Directors BEDFORD, N.Y. -- The Westchester Land Trust has named three new members to its advisory board of directors and added two new members to its staff.Joe Edgar of Pound Ridge, Megan Kulick of Scarsdale and Pam Pooley of North Salem were named to the board.
