Raymond J. Bruno, 86, of Fair Lawn
FAIR LAWN, N.J. -- Raymond J. Bruno, 86, of Fair Lawn, died Tuesday, Sept. 22. Bruno attended Bowling Green State University in Ohio. He was a U.S. Army sergeant first class, serving from 1951-59, leading his men with distinction in the Korean Conflict, where he was awarded two Bronze Stars to his Korean Service Medal and a Combat Infantry Badge for exemplary duties performed under fire in close proximity with the enemy.
He was employed by the Borden Co. and later as an insurance professional for Prudential Insurance Co. for 32 years.

Dominic Bounassi Jr., 71, Former Ridgewood Resident
RIDGEWOOD, N.J. -- Dominic Bounassi Jr., 71, died Friday, Sept. 18, at Community Medical Center in Toms River. Bounassi was born in Paterson and had resided in Ridgewood until moving to Brick in 1997. He was a fire inspector for the village of Ridgewood for more than 30 years retiring in 1996.
Dominic served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He was a communicant at Visitation Roman Catholic Church in Brick and a member of the Retired Police and Fireman Local 8 and American Legion Post 348.
His wife, Bernadette Bounassi died in 2012.

Barbara A. Ciliberto, Tenafly Resident
TENAFLY, N.J. -- Barbara A. Ciliberto (nee Clifford), of Tenafly, died Monday, Sept. 21.Ciliberto was a graduate of Upsala College. She was the director of purchasing at Englewood Hospital and Medical Center and former president of the Tenafly Garden Club.
She is survived by her husband, Andrew J. Ciliberto, a son, Joseph; her siblings, Dr. James R. Clifford, Mary Clifford McArdle, Michael E. Clifford, Virginia Baldassari and Joan F. Clifford.
A funeral Mass was celebrated Thursday, at 10 a.m., at St. Cecilia Church in Englewood. Interment was at Maryrest Cemetery Mahwah.
Jacalyn Rozen, 63, Former Passaic Resident
PASSAIC, N.J. -- Jacalyn Rozen, 63, formerly of Passaic, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 22. She was born in Paterson and lived 36 years in Passaic. She then resided in the J-ADD Group Home in Bergenfield for 11 years and spent the last six years in the Bergen County Health Care Center in Rockleigh.
She was predeceased by her father, Paul Martin, and her mother, Anna.

PATERSON, N.J. -- Margaret Gannaway Young, 89, died Thursday, Sept. 10.Young was born Feb. 2, 1926, in High Point, N.C to Burnie Clay Gannaway and Gladys Lee (Spencer) Gannaway. Her formative years were spent in High Point, where she attended elementary school and William Penn High School.

LEONIA, N.J. -- Theresa Melone (nee Malandrucolo), 94, of Leonia, formerly of Brick and Wood-Ridge, died Monday, Sept. 21. Melone was a parishioner of Visitation Roman Catholic Church in Brick, a former parishioner of Assumption Roman Catholic Church in Wood-Ridge; and a member of VFW Ladies Auxiliary in Wood-Ridge.
She was married to Nicholas Melone, who died in 1998.
She is survived by her children, Nancy Calvert, Teresa Hamburger, Louis Melone, Diane Melone Hemphill and Nicholas J. Melone; 10 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Raymond W. Rogers, 93, of Montvale
MONTVALE, N.J. -- Raymond W. Rogers, 93, of Montvale, formerly of Leonia, died Monday, Sept. 21, at home. Rogers was born in Union City in 1922, and his family later moved to Jersey City, where he graduated as valedictorian from Dickinson High School. He served in the U.S. Army in the 6th Battalion Combat Engineers.
He then attended night classes at Stevens and New York University. Rogers was co-owner with his brother, George, of Wortmann Machine Works Inc., of Teterboro, until retiring in 2004. He loved salmon fishing and traveled every year to Iceland, where he made many good friends.
