BRONXVILLE, N.Y. -- Knicks Summer Basketball Camp, which provides boys and girls ages seven to 17 with a structured basketball learning experience that encourages team participation and personal development, will take place in Bronxville as it has for the past quarter century. The camp focuses on improving campers skills while emphasizing offense, defense, shooting and game fundamentals. HARRISON, N.Y. -- Once again, I had the pleasure of marching with the Harrison High School Band on Thursday as they participated in New York City’s annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade. The weather was balmy and the crowd’s excitement and enthusiasm created a warm and welcoming atmosphere. This year’s celebration included marching bands, pipe bands and bag pipes. Tree Conservancy Of Darien Announces Winners Of Photo Contest
DARIEN, Conn. -- Danielle Granath's photograph Stormy Night won Best in Show at the Tree Conservancy of Darien's fourth annual photography contest, Celebration of Trees. The photo, taken at Wee Burn Country Club, also took first place in the summer category. More than 120 photos were entered in the contest, which was expanded this year to include a professional category, and photos of trees beyond Darien’s borders. Brewster Honors 'Outstanding 11' Student Athletes
BREWSTER, N.Y. -- It’s been a winter sports season to remember in the Brewster School District. Every team took home a league or sectional title with many athletes participating in sectional and state championships. Carlucci Presents Ossining's Case In Albany For Education Funding
OSSINING, N.Y. -- State Sen. David Carlucci (D-Rockland/Westchester) announced that the Senate one-house budget will direct the State Education Department (SED) to give additional funding to districts with high needs based on current shifting demographics. Working with the Ossining School District, Carlucci identified the needs facing parents, teachers and students.
