Ward Pound Ridge Reservation Teaches American Indian Sugaring
POUND RIDGE, N.Y. -- Ward Pound Ridge Reservation is teaching American Indian sugaring to children on Saturday, Feb. 27 at 1 p.m.Northeast North America's history comes alive with this hands-on demonstration of the origins of this product and process. For those interested in participating, meet at Trailside Nature Museum in Ward Pound Ridge Reservation. Kids of all ages are welcome with a small entrance fee.

Rhinebeck Residents Launch New Political Party
RHINEBECK, N.Y. -- As national presidential campaigns intensify, local candidates Scott Cruikshank, Sean Kemp, and Sheri Monaco announced Monday the establishment of a brand new party, “Rhinebeck Together”. Cruikshank, Kemp, and Monaco are running for the Rhinebeck Village Board. Brewster Theatre Company Announces Upcoming Season
BREWSTER, N.Y. - Christopher Gladysz, Vice President and Artistic Director announced the 2016 season for the Brewster Theatre Company, its 16th season. Neil Simon’s "The Odd Couple" will be performed at the Hudson Valley Cerebral Palsy Center over two weekends in mid-March. The show is directed by Donald Birely and produced by Joe Manuele. In April, BTC is planning a Sweet 16 party. This fundraising event will help the funding of a new home. In May, BTC will present an evening of one acts written by playwright Christopher Durang. Greenburgh Town Board Holds Scoping Session On Jefferson Complex
GREENBURGH, N.Y. -- The Greenburgh Town Board will hold a second scoping hearing on the proposed Jefferson complex at Town Hall on Wednesday, Feb. 10.The proposed complex would be 272 apartments on Lawrence Street, across from Rivertowns Square and near downtown Ardsley. Residents who speak for a minute or less will have the first opportunity to speak. Those who want to speak for five minutes will be called after. Ridgefield Schools Reschedule Budget Presentation
RIDGEFIELD, Conn. -- Ridgefield Superintendent Karen Baldwin is scheduled to finally release the budget proposal at a Board of Education meeting on Thursday, Feb. 11, according to the Ridgefield Press. The meeting will take place in the board's meeting room at the Town Hall Annex on Prospect Street at 7:30 p.m. The first attempt to present the budget on Feb. 8 was postponed due to snow, the Ridgefield Press said. Hen Hud Wrestlers Win Award For Sportsmanship
CORTLANDT, N.Y. -- Hendrick Hudson High School’s varsity wrestling team won the Eric B. Kantor Team Sportsmanship Award, while also taking fifth place, at the 34th annual Edgemont Wrestling Tournament on Saturday, Jan. 30 at Edgemont High School. The sportsmanship award is named after Edgemont's first wrestling coach, Eric Kantor, who started Edgemont's wrestling program in 1964. BRONXVILLE, N.Y. -- Bronxville High School students had discussions about the Syrian refugee crisis during the annual Student Faculty Legislature Day on Jan. 29.
