Road Work Starting This Week In Brookfield BROOKFIELD, Conn. -- The Brookfield Department of Public Works will begin paving work on Aug. 17 on Mist Hill Road and Carmen Hill Road from Granite Drive to North Mountain Road.The original start date of Aug. 15 has been pushed back.  Workers will be overlaying the road as one of 20 projects slated to take place this year. Additional roads could be added or deleted based on the budget. Weather also plays a factor in the rate of road work. Bethel Closing Down Nashville Road For Next Stage Of Work BETHEL, Conn. -- The Town of Bethel Highway Department has finished up repairs and installing stormwater drains on Nashville Road in preparation for the rebuilding of the road surface this week. Nashville Road will be closed daily to through-traffic between Route 53 and Nashville Extension to during operations, although emergency and school bus traffic will not be interrupted in the area.  Residents who live within the project area will also have access.  Reclamation and grading work will extend from Aug. 16 through Aug. 23 with paving following from Aug. 24 to Aug. 26.
