Sing Sing Inmates Graduate From College
OSSINING, N.Y. -- Sing Sing Correctional Facility inmates graduated from college Wednesday, according to News 12. Thanks to Hudson Link, a program that provides education to hardened criminals, dozens of Sing Sing inmates were able to graduate from Mercy College. This program gives the graduating inmates at Sing Sing a life beyond the bars of their cells, according to News 12. Click here to read the News 12 report.

Valhalla Geography Celebrity Ben Rieber Scores High In State Competition
VALHALLA, N.Y. -- Seventh-grader Ben Rieber won the Valhalla Middle School Geography Bee last December by knowing that Vancouver was a Western Canadian city that hosts a soccer championship. In April, he competed in the New York Geographic Bee State Finals and tied for 21st place. After winning his school’s competition, he passed an online test in January to qualify for the state bee. Cedar Manor In Ossining Celebrates Red Nose Day
OSSINING, N.Y. -- Cedar Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center staff took time on May 26 to participate in the second annual Red Nose Day. Employees united in an effort to make a difference, making a substantial donation to the Red Nose Day Fund. The monies will be distributed to poverty-focused charities, helping children to stay safe, healthy and educated.
