Driver Injured After Truck Slams Into Tree In Somers One person was injured after their pickup truck crashed into a tree in Northern Westchester.  On Monday morning, Nov. 28, emergency crews responded to Route 202 in Somers to a reported accident involving a vehicle hitting a tree, according to the Somers Volunteer Fire Department.  After an ambulance arrived, the driver was taken to a hospital with injuries.  It is not clear what the cause of the accident was.

Former Police Detective, Air Force Vet From Yorktown Heights Dies A Northern Westchester man remembered for his readiness to help others and his service to his community and country has died.  Yorktown Heights resident Allen See died on Wednesday, Nov. 23 at the age of 91, according to his obituary.  Born in Valhalla in 1931, See served in the Air Force from 1950 to 1954 and attained the rank of Staff Sergeant before later joining the Yorktown Police Department, serving as a detective for 23 years until his retirement in 1981, his obituary said.  Along with his service to Yorktown, See was also passionate about hunting and fishing, where h…

Bobcat Sighting Reported In Armonk A resident of Northern Westchester received a rare visit from a wild feline.  Armonk resident John Dunn sighted a bobcat in his front yard at his home on Byram Brook Place on Sunday, Nov. 27, he said.  The sighting is unusual, as bobcats prefer areas without continuous human population centers, according to the New York Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC).
