Missing NJ Boater Reunited With Family After Week Adrift A boater out of Jersey City was reunited with his family last week after he went missing sailing to Bermuda, the Coast Guard said. No one had heard from the mariner since Monday, Nov. 6, and the Coast Guard Atlantic Area command center began a search and rescue effort, the Coast Guard said. Another ship, the Time Bandit, heard an alert, and on Wednesday, Nov. 15, found a vessel that matched the description of the missing boat, the Coast Guard said. A Coast Guard boat based in Cape May arrived on the scene and was able to rescue the missing mariner and he was in stable condition. …

Victim Of Ramsey Train Crash ID'd As Hewitt Outdoorsman Evan Blauvelt, 45 Services have been set for the 45-year-old man fatally struck by a train in Ramsey. Evan Blauvelt, of Hewitt resident, was identified as as the man struck and killed by an NJ Transit train in Ramsey on the morning of Wednesday, Nov. 15, transit officials said Blauvelt, who was pronounced dead at the scene, is being remembered as a man who loved the outdoors, according to his obituary. A Colorado native, he enjoyed skiing and hiking and rooting for the Denver Broncos, his obituary reads. Flames Ravage Cherry Hill Home One firefighter was injured battling a heavy house fire in Cherry Hill that began late Monday, Nov. 21, according to ABC6. Would-Be Crystal Meth Dealer Pleads Guilty In Atlantic County A 40-year-old Mays Landing man pleaded guilty to intending to distribute narcotics on Thursday, Nov. 16, authorities said. Juan Rodriguez-Gomez faces three years in state prison as part of a plea agreement, the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office said. Rodriguez-Gomez was initially arrested in Nov. 2020 after police conducted a search warrant at his May's Landing residence and found 29 grams of crack cocaine, fives grams of crystal meth and Oxycodone, prosecutors said. He will be sentenced next February, prosecutors said.

8 Prostitution Arrests Made In Secaucus Sting: Police As part of an effort to combat vice-related crimes, eight people were arrested in Secaucus on Friday, Nov. 17 as part of a prostitution sting, authorities said. At 6:55 p.m., police arrested Johanny Ledesma, a 45-year-old resident of the Bronx for engaging in prostitution, Secaucus Police Chief Dennis Miller said. All New Cars Must Be Electric Come 2035 In New Jersey: Murphy New cars in New Jersey will look a little different in 2035. Gov. Phil Murphy announced that by 2035 all new vehicle sales in New Jersey will be zero-emission vehicles (ZEV), with the transition beginning in 2027. Advanced Clean Cars II, which takes effect on Dec. 18, requires manufacturers of passenger cars and light-duty trucks to meet an annual ZEV requirement intended to increase the percentage of electric vehicles sold in the state. Newark Man Convicted Of Day-Long Robbery Spree: Prosecutors A Sunday in November 2020 was a prolific day for Anthony Torres, a 28-year-old Newark resident. Torres was convicted on Monday, Nov. 20 of committing multiple robberies on Nov. 15, 2020, Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Stephens, II said.
