Gerald Brodsky, 89, Longtime Stamford Resident
STAMFORD, Conn. -- Gerald Brodsky, 89, of Stamford, the son of Ann and Samuel Brodsky, died peacefully at home Thursday, June 18.
Born In Newark, N.J., he grew up in Kenilworth, N.J., and left for the U.S. Navy in World War II on his 18th birthday. He served on a destroyer, the USS Eberle, in the Pacific. Upon his return, he resumed his college education at Newark College of Engineering, was elected to Tau Beta Pi honor society and president of Tau Delta Phi fraternity while earning a B.S. in mechanical engineering and an M.S. in management engineering.

Mount Vernon's Wartburg Names Room After Uebels
MOUNT VERNON, N.Y. -- Wilma Harris traveled all the way from Boca Raton, Fla., recently to dedicate a room in memory of her parents in Wartburg’s new, state-of-the-art Rehabilitation and Adult Day Services, or ADS, building.
This first “naming” of a space in the building was for the peaceful sunroom, where ADS registrants sit and read or look onto the patio, where a garden is in full bloom, or listen and watch birds in a large, enclosed sanctuary.
