Salvatore C. Belfi, 74, Longtime Dobbs Ferry Resident
DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. -- Salvatore C. Belfi, 74, a longtime resident of Dobbs Ferry, died Tuesday, Sept. 1. Born in Yonkers, he was the son of the late Salvatore and Anna Belfi. Belfi served in the 82nd Airborne in the U.S. Army as a paratrooper. He worked as a tree climber for Community Tree Service in Dobbs Ferry for many years.
He was a member of the Dobbs Ferry American Legion and a longtime parishioner of Our Lady of Pompeii Church.
He is survived by his brother-in-law, John (Angelina) Morgante.
His wife, Patricia, died in 2009.

Morton Freedman, 94, White Plains Resident
WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- Morton Freedman, 91, died Wednesday, Sept. 2, in White Plains.Freedman was a longtime resident of North Adams, Mass., who moved to White Plains to be with his son and family in 2006.
He was born July 2, 1924, in North Adams. He was married to his wife, Norma, for 55 years. The couple also spent many years in Florida, most recently at Hunter's Run in Boynton Beach. His wife died in 2006.
He attended Drury High School, Syracuse University and received his law degree from Boston University. He served in the Army during World War II and was stationed in North Africa. He …
