Stamford Chorale Invites New Singers To Fall Rehearsals STAMFORD, Conn. -- The Stamford Chorale is inviting everyone who loves to sing to rehearsals for its fall season, beginning Tuesday. The community chorus will present Antonio Vivaldi’s "Magnificat" in G Minor and the "Gloria" in D Major in concert on Sunday, Dec. 20, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Stamford.  David Gomez is the director, and Eric Trudel is the accompanist. Salvatore C. Belfi, 74, Longtime Dobbs Ferry Resident DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. -- Salvatore C. Belfi, 74, a longtime resident of Dobbs Ferry, died Tuesday, Sept. 1. Born in Yonkers, he was the son of the late Salvatore and Anna Belfi. Belfi served in the 82nd Airborne in the U.S. Army as a paratrooper. Morton Freedman, 94, White Plains Resident WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- Morton Freedman, 91, died Wednesday, Sept. 2, in White Plains.Freedman was a longtime resident of North Adams, Mass., who moved to White Plains to be with his son and family in 2006.  He was born July 2, 1924, in North Adams. He was married to his wife, Norma, for 55 years. The couple also spent many years in Florida, most recently at Hunter's Run in Boynton Beach. His wife died in 2006.  He attended Drury High School, Syracuse University and received his law degree from Boston University.
