RYE, N.Y. -- Jeanne S. Loughman, 93, of Rye, died Sunday, Aug. 30, in Albany. Known as a big teenager by family and friends, she was always ready to go shopping or play a game of any kind, kept up-to-date on the latest news and gossip, and even swam three days a week until the age of 92. She was deeply dedicated to both church and family.
She was predeceased by her husband, John W. Loughman, a son, John C. Loughman, a daughter, Bonnie Coburn, and a son-in-law, Joe Vales.

Anthony Francis D'Andrea, 89, Longtime Norwalk Resident
NORWALK, Conn. -- Anthony Francis D’Andrea died Friday, Aug. 28, after a brief illness. He was 89.Born in Stamford on Feb. 18, 1926, he was the son of Anthony J. and Assunta (Suzie) Rosati-D’Andrea.
D’Andrea graduated from Stamford High School in 1944. He then joined the U.S. Navy, serving with distinction in the Pacific theater and participating in many battles, including MacArthur’s triumphant return to the Philippines during the battle of the Leyte Gulf.

WESTPORT, Conn. -- Joyce Clarke, 103, died at her home in Westport on Sunday, Aug. 30. Clarke was born in Liverpool, England, on Feb. 11, 1912, to Katie and John Clarke, a merchant ship captain and member of the Royal Navy Reserve. She was raised in Brooklyn, N.Y., attended New Utrecht High School and earned a degree from Brooklyn College in 1932.

Ralph Geter, 75, Longtime Stamford Resident
STAMFORD, Conn. -- Ralph Allen Geter died Sunday, Aug. 30, at the age of 75. Geter was born Oct. 8, 1939, in Bridgeport, the son of Nellie Allen Geter and Willis Edwards. He was a Stamford resident for over 50 years.
He is survived by his children, Gina Davis (Rafaele) and Ralph A. June Wingebach, 96, Stamford Resident
STAMFORD, Conn. -- June M. Wingebach, of Stamford, died at her home on July 23. She was 96. Wingebach was born on Feb. 28, 1919, in Detroit to Albert Edward and June Wood Meder.
She graduated from Miss Porter's School and Sarah Lawrence College, where she met her first husband, Bill Alling Jr. They married on June 1, 1940, and lived in New York City. He served in the U.S. Army in Europe during World War II, and shortly after his return, the couple moved to Bronxville to raise their three children. Her husband died in 1967.

RYE BROOK, N.Y. -- Jean Mendicino, 95, of Rye Brook, died Sunday, Aug. 30. She was a member of the Rye Brook Senior Center.
Visitation is from 4-8 p.m., Thursday, at Joseph Tutera Funeral Home Inc., 121 S. Regent St., Port Chester. The funeral is at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 4, at Corpus Christi Church. Interment will follow at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery, Sleepy Hollow.
