Danbury's A Common Ground Arts Center Adds Class In Circus Skills DANBURY, Conn. -- A Common Ground Community Arts Center in Danbury will offer a new class in circus skills.  This class will teach basic circus skills, including, juggling, balancing, Chinese yo-yo's, juggling sticks, sphere play/contact juggling, hula-hoop and basic clowning.  Props will be provided for the class. No experience is needed, only an open mind and a playful heart.  Classes will be held at A Common Ground Community Arts Center, 33 Crosby St., Danbury. A Neopolitan pizza oven burns at 900-1,000 degrees and cooks a pizza in a minute to 90 seconds. Chefs turn the temperature down a little bit to get the crust a little crispier. Some of the topping will make it less crisp, but the style of crust should be light, crisp and chewy. Homeowners Coalition Helps Candidates Prepare For Mount Vernon Police Exam MOUNT VERNON, N.Y. -- The Mount Vernon Police Department and the Westchester County Homeowners’ Coalition have launched a program to help prepare the city’s young men and women for careers in law enforcement. The program, called Career Opportunities in Public Service, or COPS, helps prepare candidates for the Nov. 14 police officer entrance exam at the Mount Vernon High School.  The program will meet on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the Mount Vernon High School, from Oct. 5 to Nov. 9. Wasyl Peleschuk, 93, Active In Bridgeport Ukrainian Groups BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- Wasyl Peleschuk, 93, of Bridgeport, died Thursday, Aug. 27, at Bridgeport Hospital. Peleschuk was born on Aug. 3, 1922, in Perevoloka, Ternopilskiy Oblast, Ukraine. He immigrated to the United States in 1950, initially to Michigan, and then settled in Bridgeport. His wife, Maria, who, he married in 1952, died in 1988. He had worked as a carpenter for Patmore Millwork Co. for more than 35 years.
