Born and raised in North Haven, Connecticut, David was always fascinated with the concept of writing for a large publication and telling other people’s stories. 

He decided to pursue that fascination after high school by attending Assumption College (now University) in Worcester, Massachusetts, where he obtained a bachelor’s degree in English/Writing & Mass Communications.

David decided to continue his passion by obtaining a master’s degree in Journalism from Emerson College in 2020. Afterwards, he worked at WBZ NewsRadio in Boston as a digital and broadcast writer covering a wide array of stories.

Now, David is looking to continue his journalistic passions by giving others a platform to share their stories with a larger audience. He predominately covers Daily Voice's counties in the Greater Boston Area: Suffolk, Essex, Middlesex and Norfolk.

ID Released For Boston Man Shot Dead In Broad Daylight In Dorchester Authorities have identified the man fatally shot in broad daylight in Dorchester earlier this week as Roosevelt Thornton Jr., age 33, of Boston.  Thornton was found suffering from a gunshot wound in the area of 215 Norwell Street in Dorchester around just after 12 p.m. on Monday, August 1, Boston Police said.
