Born and raised in North Haven, Connecticut, David was always fascinated with the concept of writing for a large publication and telling other people’s stories. 

He decided to pursue that fascination after high school by attending Assumption College (now University) in Worcester, Massachusetts, where he obtained a bachelor’s degree in English/Writing & Mass Communications.

David decided to continue his passion by obtaining a master’s degree in Journalism from Emerson College in 2020. Afterwards, he worked at WBZ NewsRadio in Boston as a digital and broadcast writer covering a wide array of stories.

Now, David is looking to continue his journalistic passions by giving others a platform to share their stories with a larger audience. He predominately covers Daily Voice's counties in the Greater Boston Area: Suffolk, Essex, Middlesex and Norfolk.

2 Pedestrians Struck, Killed By Car In Western Massachusetts Two people have died after they were hit by a car in Western Massachusetts Tuesday evening, Aug. 2, the Northwestern District Attorney's Office reports. The 81-year-old man and 60-year-old woman were killed in the crash that occurred on Northampton Road (Route 10) near the Burger King in Easthampton, the office reports. Both victims lived in Easthampton. The driver of the involved vehicle, a Hadley man, stayed on scene and worked with police. The cause of the accident is under investigation.

63-Year-Old Man Dies After Crashing Into North Reading Home: Police A 63-year-old man was killed in single-vehicle car crash in North Reading, authorities said.  David Lopilato, of North Reading and East Boston, died after his 2007 Ford Mustang crashed into a home at 334 Part Street around 7 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 1, North Reading Police said.  No other injuries were reported. While the home sustained minor damage, it was deemed safe, police said. Police responded to a call of a person shot in the parking lot of the store at 1 Hawes Way around 6:46 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 1, Stoughton Police said.  Upon arrival, officers located a female victim suffering from a single, self-inflicted gunshot wound to the leg.
