Pleasantville native Jon Craig is special editor for the Westchester, Putnam, Rockland, Orange and Dutchess Daily Voice sites. He is also the primary reporter for Daily Voice Plus Politics in Westchester and Fairfield.

Jon graduated from Cornell University and received his master's degree in journalism from Northwestern University. Across a 35-year career, he's worked as a reporter for daily newspapers in Chicago, New York, Ohio & Washington, D.C and as managing editor for weekly newspapers in Rye, White Plains and Harrison.

Jon also writes periodically for the Cornell Chronicle.

South Jersey Man Pleads Guilty To Sexual Assault Of Girl: Prosecutor A 33-year-old man from South Jersey has admitted to sexually assaulting a girl when she was 14, authorities said. Taron Thomas, of Ocean View, pleaded guilty to one count of first-degree sexual assault on a minor on Tuesday, June 27, according to the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office. Man Convicted Of Murder In Armed Home Invasion In Atlantic City: Prosecutor A 27-year-old man from South Jersey has been found guilty of murder in an armed home invasion robbery, authorities said. An Atlantic County jury convicted Oshshakkur Derrick, of Somers Point, on Tuesday, June 27, according to the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office. Burglary Suspect Shot By Police At Central Jersey Car Dealership: Prosecutor A suspect breaking into vehicles at a car dealership was shot by police while fleeing in Central Jersey, authorities said. Rutgers University Student Committed Suicide: Prosecutor Authorities are investigating after the body of a male student was found on the Rutgers University Campus in Piscataway. The death was ruled a suicide, they said. There was no threat to the public and no foul play was suspected, according to Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and Chief Kenneth Cop of the Rutgers Police Department. 5 Arrested For Drug Dealing In Atlantic City: Police Five people were arrested on drug-related charges in Atlantic City, authorities said. On Friday, June 23, Atlantic City Detective Christopher Dodson conducted surveillance in the first block of south Tennessee Avenue targeting individuals that were selling, buying, or possessing drugs, police said. Track US Air Force Flyover In Nj-pa The U.S. Air Force is celebrating 100 years of air refueling on Tuesday, June 27 with flyovers in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and New York. The display by the 305th Air Mobility Wing includes a 15-jet formation of tankers and giant cargo planes over the Jersey Shore and Delaware River. Two people remained in critical condition on Tuesday, June 27, according to West Windsor police. Woman, 61, Strikes Building, Killed In South Jersey Crash A 61-year-old woman was killed when she struck a building in Bridgeton, authorities said. On Monday June 26, at 1:44 p.m., Bridgeton police responded to the intersection of North Laurel Street and American Avenue for motor vehicle crash. Motorist, 35, Killed In 4-Vehicle Crash In Burlington County A 35-year-old driver from Burlington County was killed in a four-vehicle collision, authorities said. Based on a preliminary investigation Rafael Colin Salinas, of Tabernacle Township, was operating a Nissan Titan south on Route 206, according to New Jersey State Police.
