Jon graduated from Cornell University and received his master's degree in journalism from Northwestern University. Across a 35-year career, he's worked as a reporter for daily newspapers in Chicago, New York, Ohio & Washington, D.C and as managing editor for weekly newspapers in Rye, White Plains and Harrison.

Jon also writes periodically for the Cornell Chronicle.

Alexandria Deuter, 15, was last seen walking on the 100 block of South Street in Eatontown, just west of the Route 35 corridor, at approximately 4 p.m. on Sunday, June 11, according to the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office. 3-Year-Old Child Fatally Shoots Self In Trenton: Prosecutor A three-year-old child accidentally shot themself to death in Trenton, authorities said. The Mercer County Prosecutor's Office Homicide Task Force responded to Princeton Avenue  on a report of a child suffering from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to a county prosecutor. The child has been pronounced dead by Capital Health Hospital. The firearm was recovered. The investigation is ongoing.
