Pleasantville native Jon Craig is special editor for the Westchester, Putnam, Rockland, Orange and Dutchess Daily Voice sites. He is also the primary reporter for Daily Voice Plus Politics in Westchester and Fairfield.

Jon graduated from Cornell University and received his master's degree in journalism from Northwestern University. Across a 35-year career, he's worked as a reporter for daily newspapers in Chicago, New York, Ohio & Washington, D.C and as managing editor for weekly newspapers in Rye, White Plains and Harrison.

Jon also writes periodically for the Cornell Chronicle.

Serious Crash, Tractor-Trailer Fire Reported In Central Jersey There was a serious crash in Central Jersey, authorities said. A tractor-trailer also was reported on fire at the location of the crash, they said. The crash occurred at about 12:40 p.m. on Monday, May 1 on Route 440 in Woodbridge, according to the New Jersey Department of Transportation. Taxicab Passenger Killed In Atlantic City Crash A passenger in a taxicab was killed in a weekend crash in Atlantic City, authorities said. The crash occurred on Sunday, April 30, at approximately 3:40 a.m. at the intersection of Arctic and North Missouri avenues. Preliminary investigation revealed that a taxicab and a Tesla collided at the intersection. The cab had five occupants, including the driver. Burlington County Man Sentenced In Fatal Shooting A Medford Township man was sentenced to 20 years in New Jersey State Prison for fatally shooting a 64-year-old Pemberton Township resident. Tristan Majeed, 53, pleaded guilty earlier this year to first-degree aggravated manslaughter. The fatal shooting outside of the victim's home followed a dispute over money, according to Burlington County Prosecutor LaChia L. Bradshaw.
