Mahopac Murder, West Harrison Suicide: Suspect ID'd, Financial Issues Cited
The 75-year-old Mahopac woman was killed last week by her daughter's father-in-law, 69-year-old Filippo Buffone of West Harrison over a financial disagreement, Carmel Police announced during a press conference Wednesday.
Buffone, who killed himself on Tuesday in a car near his West Harrison home at 106 Park Ave., shot Perla Gatchalian last Thursday in anger over family finances, said Carmel Police Chief Mike Cazzari.
Police recovered the suspected murder weapon off the Route 6 corridor in Yorktown on Tuesday, Cazzari said.

OSSINING, N.Y. -- Robert J. Arciola, 36, of Ossining, died Sunday, April 30.
Born on March 31, 1981, in White Plains to Robert R. and Teresa E. Arciola (Assante), Arciola was a self-taught sous chef who worked at several local restaurants.
He enjoyed working upstate on the family farm, being outside and making homemade projects with his daughter Josephine.
Arciola was also known for his sense of humor and kindness to all.
