Gas Leak Causes Evacuation Of Poughkeepsie Middle School POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. --  A gas leak in the basement of Poughkeepsie Middle School led to the evacuation of students and faculty for a couple of hours earlier Tuesday. City of Poughkeepsie Fire Chief Mark Johnson said a "very pungent" odor of gas was evident when firefighters arrived on scene and suggested evacuating students as a precaution. Mark D. Robinson, 47, homeless, is wanted for failing to provide an updated photo of himself to law enforcement, which is required by law, city police said.
