Police: DWI Poughkeepsie Man Who Flees Police Stop Has Suspended License POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- A Poughkeepsie man who was driving a vehicle with a headlight out tried to flee from police during an attempted traffic stop on Sunday. Frederick Mann, 31, was arrested after he attempted to flee when Sgt. Neil Stuart with the Dutchess County Sheriff's Office attempted to stop him around 2:15 a.m. on Washington Street in the City of Poughkeepsie, said Capt. John Watterson. Police: Poughkeepsie Man Strikes Victim In Face With Brick On Main Street DUTCHESS COUNTY, N.Y. -- A Dutchess County man was charged with assault on Saturday after smashing another person in the face with a brick, according to the Dutchess County Sheriff's Office. Chad Smith, 27, of Poughkeepsie was arrested after Sgt. Neil Stuart witnessed part of the assault around 3:40 a.m. on Main St in the City of Poughkeepsie, said Capt. John Watterson. Car Crashes Into Building In Westchester Shopping Plaza BEDFORD HILLS, N.Y. -- Three people suffered minor injuries on Friday when a car crashed into the Cambareri Shopping Plaza at 760 Bedford Road (Route 117) in Bedford Hills, just south of the Bedford Diner. Police In Wappingers Falls Issue Vehicle Larceny Warning WAPPINGERS FALLS, N.Y. -- Residents of the Village of Wappingers Falls should be alerted that items were stolen out of numerous unlocked vehicles overnight on Monday and Tuesday.The vehicles were entered on West Main Street, Church Street, North Street, Clinton Street, West Street and Market Street," police said. Police are asking residents to remember to lock their vehicles and to remove all valuables from inside so criminals are not tempted.
