Poughkeepsie Man Charged In 2015 Murder
POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- A City of Poughkeepsie man who is currently serving a seven-year sentence for robbery at the Gowanda Correctional Facility, was charged Friday with the 2015 murder of Shameik Floyd.
Trent Yant, 23, was charged with second-degree murder, two counts of criminal possession of a weapon, two counts of robbery, conspiracy and tampering with physical evidence, said the City of Poughkeepsie Police Department.

Police Seize Crack, $2K In Town Of Poughkeepsie Drug Bust
DUTCHESS COUNTY, N.Y. -- A Poughkeepsie man was busted for possession of crack cocaine Wednesday during a search of his Innis Avenue home by members of the Dutchess County Drug Task Force.
Javante Carrington, 32, was arrested during the search which was a result of an investigation into narcotics sales taking place at the home, said Frank Tasciotti, assistant coordinator of the task force.
During the search, officers found approximately an ounce of crack cocaine, scales, packaging material, and $2,000, Tasciotti said.
