RAMAPO, N.Y. -- Wednesday's strong winds brought down a tree, blocking Ladentown Road in the Pomona area of town, according to the Ramapo Police Department. The roadway was closed just east of Moutain Road. The Ramapo Highway Department and Orange & Rockland Utilities responded to the scene, police said.

Incumbents Lose In Airmont Elections The Airmont Board of Trustees has two new members as a pair of incumbent board members were unseated in Tuesday's election. Candidates Peter Blunnie received 1071 votes and Kevin Warbrick received 1086 to defeat incumbent Trustees Ralph Bracco with 694 votes and Dennis Cohen, with 674 votes, according to City Clerk and Treasurer Lisa-Ann DiMarsico-Smith. Laing Elected, Zacharzuk Unseated In Red Hook RED HOOK, N.Y. -- Charles Laing will serve as the Village of Red Hook's newest trustee after unseating Village Trustee Steve Zacharzuk during Tuesday's election. Laing was elected with 78 votes versus Zacharzuk with 57 votes. Challenger Brett Lipton received 18 votes and Village Trustee Jennifer Norris was re-elected with 104 votes, said Village Clerk and Treasurer Cindi Chiarella.  Trustees are elected to serve four-year terms and are paid $8,000 annually, Chiarella said.

A first-year student at Binghamton University, Donnelly was born on Sept. 29, 1998, to Martin and Carmel (Kelly) Donnelly at Lennox Hill Hospital. Donnelly was a graduate of Nanuet Senior High School, where he was senior class president. He lived in Pearl River for the past 12 years and before that, he lived in Woodside. Tivoli Mayor, Trustees Re-Elected TIVOLI, N.Y. -- The mayor of Tivoli and two village trustees were re-elected to their seats without opposition during Tuesday's election.  Village Clerk Robin Bruno said Mayor Joel Griffith was re-elected with 112 votes, Trustee Susan Ezrati was re-elected with 105 votes and Trustee Christopher Murphy was re-elected with 106 votes. The mayor is paid $11,000 annually and Village trustees receive $2,500 annually. Each position serves a two-year term, Bruno said.
