Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Covid-19: Here's Latest Hudson Valley Three-Day Positive Testing Rate, New Cases By County New three-day positivity rate data for COVID-19 testing in the Hudson Valley has just been released. The positive testing rate in all focus areas under the state's Micro-Cluster strategy is 3.10 percent, and outside the focus zone areas is 1.36 percent. Within the focus areas, 13,283 test results were reported Saturday, Oct. 30, yielding 412 positives. In the remainder of the state, not counting these focus areas, 135,652 test results were reported, yielding 1,843 positives. Silver Alert Issued For Girl Who's Gone Missing In Fairfield County A Silver Alert has been issued after a 12-year-old girl went missing in Fairfield County. Evelyn Santos-Oliveira was last seen on Saturday, Oct. 31 at her residence in Bridgeport, police said. She is 5-foot-5, 200 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. The photo above of Santos-Oliveira wearing a brown coat is the most recent image of her, Bridgeport Police said. She was believed to be wearing a white-and-black dress with flowers at the time of her disappearance. Suspect In String Of Long Island Residential Burglaries Nabbed A suspect in a string of residential Long Island burglaries has been apprehended, police said. The arrest came after an attempted burglary at a home in Wantagh on Monday, Oct. 26 at 2:30 p.m., Nassau County Police said. According to detectives, a 51-year-old man was in the basement of his Woodside Drive residence when he heard a loud noise. The victim went upstairs to find out what caused the noise, opened his rear door, and observed an unknown male running through his yard, said police. 24-Year-Old Nabbed After Entering Long Island Home, Stealing Car, Police Say A 24-year-old man was apprehended after entering a Long Island home, removing car keys, and then stealing the vehicle, police said. Begnauth Renseroop, of Queens, entered the residence in New Hyde Park occupied by a 64-year-old woman at around 8:50 p.m. Friday, Oct. 30, Nassau County Police said. Renseroop then removed the keys to her 2006 Mazda and used them to steal her vehicle, according to police. Dr. John Alexander, Chiropractor In Area, Dies Suddenly At 58 Dr. John A. Alexander, a chiropractor in the Hudson Valley, died suddenly on Sunday, Oct. 25 at the age of 58. Alexander, a resident of Mahopac, was born on Feb. 6, 1962, in New York City, the son of John and Braulia (Alvino) Alexander. John attended Life Chiropractic College in Marietta, Georgia where earned his doctorate in chiropractic medicine. On April 4, 1992, he married Phyllis Spaccarelli at St. John The Evangelist Church in Mahopac. "John loved being a chiropractor and loved his patients," his obituary said. Covid-19: NY Unveils New Entry Policy For Quarantines By Out-Of-State Travelers All travelers from non-neighboring states planning to stay in New York for more than 24 hours will now be required to quarantine for at least three days and then test negative for COVID-19 and present proof of a negative test before leaving quarantine under a sweeping new policy.
