Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Teen Assaults Worker With Bat During Robbery At Long Island Market, Police Say A teenager struck a store employee with a bat during a robbery at a Long Island food market, police say. It happened on Friday, Aug. 28 at 4:30 p.m. in Lawrence. Miguel Torres, 18, of Far Rockaway, while inside Seasons Express on 50 Doughty Boulevard, removed a six pack of beer from the shelves and exited the store without attempting to pay for the merchandise, Nassau County Police said. Two Tornado Touchdowns Confirmed In Region Tornado touchdowns were confirmed in both the Hudson Valley and Connecticut during severe storm activity in the region on Thursday, Aug. 27. The National Weather Service made the determinations late Friday night, Aug. 28 after surveying damage during the day. Hudson Valley Tornado The twister in the Hudson Valley happened just after 6:15 p.m. Thursday in Orange County in Montgomery in the area of Old Nealytown Road, according to the weather service. Reward Offered For Information On Fatal Westchester Crash A $5,000 reward for information leading to an arrest is being offered after a fatal crash involving a bicyclist in Northern Westchester. At about 10:50 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 23, Yorktown Police responded to Birdsall Drive at the Westchester County Trailway bicycle path for a report of a bicyclist struck by a vehicle. Police located the victim lying in the roadway with CPR being performed by a bystander. The victim was taken to the hospital and later died as a result of the injuries. Lord & Taylor Closing All Its Stores After Nearly 200 Years In Business Lord & Taylor, the first department store to be established in the United States, is going out of business, closing all its stores after a 194-year run. Both sites are located in the Sullivan County. Man Seriously Injured In Crash That Causes Long Island Expressway Closure A man was seriously injured in a crash that led to the closure of a stretch of the Long Island Expressway overnight. The crash happened on Thursday, Aug. 27 at about 3:15 a.m. on the westbound side near Exit 48 in Melville.
