Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Police Search For Suspects Who Fled In BMW After Robbery At Long Island T-Mobile Store Two suspects are at large after a robbery at a Long Island T-Mobile store. The incident occurred on Friday, July 31 at 1:15 p.m. in Great Neck. The two unknown male suspects entered the store located at 505 Great Neck Road and started to browse the phones, Nassau County Police said. Two Women Shot, One Fatally, On Long Island Two women were shot, one fatally, during an incident overnight on Long Island. It happened just after midnight on Saturday, Aug. 1 in Hempstead. Nassau County Police officers received multiple calls for shots fired through ‘ShotSpotter’ notification and responded to Martin Luther King Drive. Upon arrival, officers found two women, ages 28 and 29, who had both been shot by an unknown individual. Both were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. Teens Arrested Following Incident Outside Long Island Gym Two teens were arrested for their involvement in an incident outside a Long Island gym, police said. The arrests were made in Port Jefferson Station at about 1:15 p.m. Friday, July 31. Members of CrossFit DHP, located at 650 Route 112, were participating in an outdoor fitness class on Sunday, July 23 at approximately 5:30 p.m. when a group of teenagers on bicycles began harassing them, Suffolk County Police said. Rockland County Corrections Officers Indicted On Criminal Charges Two Rockland County corrections officers have been indicted on criminal charges. The Rockland County District Attorney’s Office announced the indictments of John Kezek and Christopher Taggart on charges alleging they committed criminal acts while performing their official duties. Nassau County Man Shot, Killed During Altercation Outside Long Island Home A suspect is at large after a man was shot and killed following an altercation outside a Long Island house. It happened around 6:30 p.m. Friday, July 31 in Amityville. Suffolk County Police First Precinct officers responded to the scene after a 911 caller reported a man had been shot, which occurred after an altercation, in front of a home on North Somerset Road. Isaias Becomes Hurricane: Here's Latest Projected Path Isaias has become a hurricane ahead of schedule with a new projected path that takes the Category 1 storm up the East Coast.
